Bio

Born and raised in Illinois' capital city, I began playing drums at an early age. In 2008, I moved to Chicago to study Jazz with the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. During my time there, I had the opportunity of studying under greats like Paul Wertico, Scott Mason, Tom Garling, Henry Johnson, Roger Harris, Roger Ingram and others.

My interests as a drummer and percussionist are diverse - although my areas of specific interest are in Funk, Afro-Cuban rhythms, free-improvisation, and "playing the pocket" to hip-hop, soul, and varied styles.
